I was so thrilled to find that the same weekend I was planning on visiting the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the Sakura Matsuri event was taking place. All weekend, the garden celebrated traditional and contemporary Japanese Culture. I was able to catch The Art of Bonsai lecture by BBG bonsai curator Julian Velasco. These photos below are some of the Bonsai from the Living Sculpture: Bonsai Exhibit.
This bonsai sadly died but it lived for 800 years and is still a gorgeous work of art. Read the full description below.
Instagram is so fun to use especially because I rely on my Iphone for all my photos. I took this while walking my dog along the East River bike path early in the morning. It has such an enchanted feel to it!
On a recent weelend trip to D.C, I visited the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum (yes, I'm a total nerd!) I could have spent all day walking around the cosmos and through aircraft exibits. Even though the museum was a little stuffy and a little outdated, it was still really fun.
I was immediately blown away by this gorgeous mural at the entrance. I love large scale photography! I can see one of these plans hanging in my living room.
Visiting my family in Charleston, South Carolina was a blast. I loved walking around historic downtown and viewing the gorgeous, classic architecture. The slightly setting sun made it ideal for snapping photos!
Purgatory Chasm in a Massachusetts State Reservation located fifty minutes outside of Boston. I went hiking there recently and was blown away with how gorgeous it was!
Every year it feels like spring just creeps up on me. It will be chilly and raining for what seems like forever and then suddenly-bam! The trees and plants are in full bloom! I couldn't get over how beautiful my neighborhood looked this morning and while I was walking my dog I snapped a few pics on my iphone.
